Well, here I am. A blogger? I guess so. How weird. I swear most of the time I'm clever and witty, but this is a bit intimidating. There is a white screen and a blinking cursor just staring at me in the face. OMG am I Carrie Bradshaw? Is this my very own version of Sex in the City? Hmm... thoughts to ponder on this evening.
All of that aside, HI! I guess if you're here, then you already know this... but I'm Leah. If you're reading this, you probably know me. And if you don't know me personally, you probably read my "About Me" so now you kind of know me, I guess. If that's the case, there's no real need to introduce myself or give you a bio, that's old news at this point.
I guess I'll just explain my reason for starting this blog then. How's that?
Here it is, it's this simple:
I want to share. I want to share my life with whoever wants to listen. I think this world is full of beautiful imperfections and wonderful adventures. If I can share some of mine, then maybe I can inspire some of yours? I have no set agenda for this blog (by the way, I hate the word 'blog' ... let's scracth the word blog and replace it with 'site' ... yeah, I like site better). Anyway, back to my thought: I have no set agenda for this site. I just plan on sharing my thoughts, ideas, recipes, DIY projects, etc. After 25 years of life, I've collected quite a few of these. And now, I want to share them with you!
OH! One more thing! The title of this blog is "Our Rhodes To Happiness." Did you see what I did there? Well, you obviously do if you know me. If you don't know me personally then you're probably on the right track but let me clear up any confusion. That fabulous fiancé I've mentioned? His last name is Rhodes. That means that MY future last name is Rhodes (in 120 days to be exact, thanks to theknot.com for the countdown). Get it? Ahhh... it's not rocket science, but I was pretty pleased with it after trying to come up with a title for weeks and weeks with no success. So there you have it. On this path I call life, I'll bring this site along for the ride. Each step on this journey [being a different project, recipe, thought, or idea] documented here... so we can all make the voyage together, following Our Rhodes To Happiness.
